For over a century, Ohio Valley Goodwill has been providing support, breaking down barriers, and creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities across Greater Cincinnati to thrive. For the past fourteen years, Ohio Valley Goodwill’s award-winning Center for Advocacy, Recreation and Education (CARE) program has demonstrated its commitment to the Greater Cincinnati community by choosing to volunteer to support many of it’s organizations. The CARE program offers an array of opportunities for individuals to become fully involved and connected with their communities as well as building personal relationships with others.
In our CARE Program, the Direct Support Professional will be responsible for assisting participants in facility and community engagements. Helping in implementing a diverse program of choice driven activities appropriate to meet the desired physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of the participant served. Some areas included are: thematic crafts projects, exercise, adaptive sports, iPads, computers, music, community integration outings, leisure/lifestyle education, special events and skill development programs to assist in facilitating positive community experiences for CARE participants.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Minimum of High school diploma or GED.
