Janitorial Floor Technician

JANITORIAL SERVICES - Woodlawn, OH - Full Time

Our not-for-profit social service organization is seeking a Floor Technician to become a valuable member of our Goodwill team.  If hired, you will become part our Janitorial team responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

The Janitorial Floor Technician will be responsible for performing janitorial floor work and cleaning assignments on a day-to-day basis according to the specifications stated or as deemed necessary by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High School or GED preferred.
  •  2-5 years of janitorial service experience including stripping, waxing, scrubbing, buffing, carpet cleaning and operating janitorial floor machinery required. 
  • Must be able to work independently after being given a directive.  Must be a self- starter.  Must know chemical and emergency procedures.  Must be able to identify and maintain the various types of floors installed in industrial and office establishments. 
  • Must be able to identify and operate the typical janitorial commercial floor machines utilized in the cleaning of industrial and office establishments. 
  •  Able to lift up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. 
  • Must pass initial drug testing.
