Position Summary:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a strategic partner to assigned business units, aligning HR initiatives with business goals. This role involves providing guidance and support on HR-related matters, including workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, and performance management, to drive organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnership:
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand their goals and challenges, and provide HR strategies to support business objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Workforce Planning:
- Assist in the development and execution of workforce planning initiatives, including talent acquisition needs analysis, retention, and succession planning.
- Analyze workforce data and trends to provide insights and recommendations.
- Employee Relations:
- Address employee relations issues by providing guidance, conducting investigations, and ensuring fair resolution.
- Promote a positive work environment by fostering open communication and addressing workplace concerns proactively.
- Performance Management:
- Support the implementation and management of the performance appraisal process, including goal setting, feedback, and performance improvement plans.
- Coach managers on handling performance-related issues and improving team dynamics.
- Talent Management and Development:
- Collaborate with Learning and Development teams to identify training needs and support employee development programs.
- Facilitate career development discussions and assist in creating development plans for employees.
- Change Management:
- Support business units during organizational changes by developing and implementing change management strategies.
- Assist in communicating changes to employees and ensuring smooth transitions.
- HR Metrics and Reporting:
- Utilize HR metrics to analyze trends, identify areas for improvement, and support decision-making.
- Prepare and present HR reports to leadership on various aspects such as employee engagement, retention, and workforce analytics.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in an HR role, with at least 2 years as an HR Business Partner or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR.
- Proven track record of successful change management and organizational development initiatives.
